Our “Iwo Jima Tribute” Flag is a hand painted silhouette of the iconic picture taken by Joe Rosenthal who captured the moment when Ira Hayes, Harold Schultz, Michael Strank, Franklin Sousley, Rene Gagnon, and Harlon Block raised our flag on the Mount Suribachi ridge above the beach of Iwo Jima on February 23, 1945. Like all our flags, it is 100% handcrafted. No cheap stencils & spray paint, or other short cuts of any kind. Each flag is constructed how “Official” flags are with each flag having its own individual canton (stars) piece with 13 individual stripe pieces. Every single star and all the artwork on our flags is painted by hand with a brush.
